Beaver Scouts: Sharing the Adventure!

Fun and friendship are the cornerstones of Beaver Scouts.  Through an adventurous program of outdoor activities, creative play, music, and cooperative games, Beavers enjoy time with their friends, new and old, learn how to get along within a group, and develop the confidence to be themselves.

Beavers share many outdoor adventures with their friends in the colony.  Nature walks, short hikes, tree plantings and family sleepovers give Beavers a taste of outdoor fun.  Through these activities, Beavers develop an appreciation and a sense of caring for the environment.

Beavers are a vital part of the community, country and world in which they live. Visits to parks, power plants, fire and police stations thrill young Beavers and illustrate the many important facets of their community.

Throughout the Scouting program (Beavers through Rovers), youth work towards mastery of a variety of Outdoor Adventure Skills including:

  • Camping Skills

  • Aquatic Skills

  • Paddling Skills

  • Winter Skills

  • Emergency Skills

  • Vertical Skills

  • Trail Skills

  • Scoutcraft Skills

  • Sailing Skills

The outdoors is an essential part of the Beaver Scout program.  Events, like hikes and overnight camping opportunities round out the Beaver Scouting experience.

Beaver Scout Promises

Beaver Scout Law

Beaver Scout Moto

I promise to love God and to help take care of the world.

*I promise to be kind and to help
take care of the world.

A Beaver has fun, works hard,

and helps family and friends.

Sharing, sharing, sharing!

* By providing an additional promise for members to choose from - Scouts Canada can create an open space for youth to express their unique dedication. Now is the opportunity to further reflect Scouts Canada's relevancy and commitment to diversity and inclusion in an ever changing world, by welcoming a new alternative Scout Promise.

There are a number of badges and awards that Beaver Scouts can earn while participating in our program as well as on their own at home. Follow the link for the Guide to Personal Achievement Badges Here

Each Beaver Scout can also view requirements and track their progress of the Personal Achievement Badges and Outdoor Adventure Skills using the ScoutsTracker.ca website.

When viewing the calendar you can scroll lower on the page and select your specific section's events.
